My New Blog Page!

Tuesday 19 August 2008

Hola!

So the cool guys who run my web stuff have given me ANOTHER blog page can you believe?... Silly silly boys :) So i'm going to keep yarning on about bits and pieces with the My Space... then use this one for giving you guys more detailed reports on what's happening with the gigs.. life here in London... My chachi etc

The gig in London at The Metro was on wednesday night. The build up to it was intense. I had to put together yet another band, that were based here in London. The band I brought to the UK last time were from California and the band i used at the gig in LA prior to that were from Miami. Finally I am in the city where the gigs are and the band are here also. Im am so over putting new bands together. It was a stress in The Superjesus when guitar players kept leaving and finding someone new was always hard.. but now i am putting together entire bands from scratch in foreign citys.AHHHHHH, anyway, i have a great band that i am happy with now and they live in the correct city. ya.Its a bit of a motley bunch, from all over the shop.

Ive got a DJ from Spain playing dirty synth bass and samples, his name is Pablo Decoder.. and I've got a drummer from Portugal with a mohawk who used to be in a metal band - Jorge Felizardo (who speaks like a skater punk from LA). Sometimes its a bit hard for Pablo and I to understand each others accents but we can always fall back on the international language of rock...1 2 3 4 GO!

We rehearsed day and night for a week and rocked up to the metro ready to go. The place was packed to the rafters which was an extremely nice surprise... We put together a great set that was all linked through with beats and samples so there was no lull period. I really enjoyed it, the stage was on two levels so i could get up where the drummer was easily. I played through two marshall stacks (way more than a venue like that calls for but hey...) We have another gig in a few weeks.. this will be the first time in ages that i have used the same band more than once, ya bring it on!
